Return of the Dog Shit

While growing up in Southie, when the families still lived there, dog shit was an epidemic. There were no moral rules about picking up dog shit back in the day so dog shit was everywhere. The corner of "N" and East Fifth Street was cleverly coined "the dogshit capital of the world". But as the years went by a lot of families moved out, some that stayed realized it was a good idea to pick up there dog's shit, so the epidemic passed. Dog shit was always a problem but you could walk down the street and there was a good chance that you wouldn't step in dog shit.
But I fear the epidemic is coming back, as these new South Boston residents are settling in the neihborhood, a lot are starting to get dogs. Most of these people came from the burbs so the concept of picking up dog shit so no one steps in it, is completely forgiven to them. And a lot like parallel parking, they still haven't learned to adapt to there new environment. So there dog shit is staying as is on the sidewalk. Even worse the new thing there doing is, actually making an effort to pick up the dog shit in a plastic bag and leaving it right were it is(see pics above). So not only are these assbags leaving there dog shit on the sidewalk there also littering! As a dog owner and a dog shit picker upper I'm totally offended by all this. I don't like picking up dog shit but I know how it feels to step in it so I do the responsible thing and pick it up. not only do I pick it up I find a trash barrel to through it in.
A Funny side not, once I picked up Pedro's shit and tossed the bag into some guys trash barrel. The man was entering his house at the time and saw me do this and asked "HEY DID YOU JUST THROW YOUR DOG SHIT IN MY BARREL!?" I'm calmly told him "yes, it's a trash barrel and that was shit, and that's were shit goes" I guess he agreed because he just nodded and went into his house.

One of the funniest lines in any song is in Bruce Hornsby's "The way it is" the line:
Standing in line marking time--
Waiting for the welfare dime
cause they cant buy a job
The man in the silk suit hurries by
As he catches the poor old ladies eyes
Just for fun he says get a job

hahahhahahahah that's great, it reminds me of the time I was working with K-hill and we drove by a student driver and he yells "learn how to drive" HAHAHAHAHAHA

How about some sports, starting with The Gootch's B's report
The B's had a very good 1st half of the season, if they can figure out how to beat the Canadians they would have probably have been in the 4th spot in the east a few points behind East Leading Ottawa. The Habs don't even have a better team than the B's but somehow get in their heads and can break the B's trap. The Bruins after an excellent All Star weekend that show cased some of our players and made the league take notice have opened the 2nd half of the season with a great win over a pretty good Nashville team to set up the next two games against east leading Ottawa Senators in Ottawa and West and NHL Leading Detroit Red Wings. Last Night the B's pummeled the Senators 4-1. It was a great win, the line on Kessel-Savard-Schaeffer was great, it was good too see Schaeffer finally contributing, they were expecting good things from him coming into the season and would be a big boost in the 2nd half with some of our top guys out. Milan Lucic is turning into another Cam Neely, we all know there will never be one BUT if I ever saw anyone ever resemble or make me even think Cam Neely when I watched him play its this guy, a real treat to watch. A true power forward and only 18 years old, the best is yet to come from this kid. Saturday Night brings the Red Wings into town and it should be fun. If the B's lost both games but played both teams tough I would have been happy but after the pounding in Ottawa they have Detroit coming to Boston and I couldn't be happier, this team is going to fun to watch the rest of the year and very dangerous come playoff time....Tim Thomas better start getting some Vezina consideration, he was incredible again last night. Good luck Saturday Night boys, I will update you on Monday.Go Pats!

Since the daily post ended I haven't done a breakdown of the Celtics games. For now on I'll probably just do a weekly recap. But since the last time I've posted a lot of Celtic fans I know are getting worried because the C's have dropped a game here and there. Lots of talk that this current C's roster isn't good enough to win it all. My message to these people is, relax. They just beat one of the best teams in the NBA without KG last night. They still the best record in the NBA by 6 games. Would I like to see the C's get Sam Cassell, of course, but I don't think the season is over if we don't get him. In the East it's going to come down to Boston and Detroit. I'll give Lebron a slight chance to get to the Eastern Conference Finals but him, Toronto, Washington(better without Arenas? I think so), and Orlando are all pretty good teams but not good enough to beat Boston or the PISStons in a 7 game series. I like the Celts chances in a series with Detroit, especially with home court advantage, the Garden has been rocking this year, last night it was bonkos.
In the finals the Eastern champ will have the advantage over the west winner, who will have to be tired after going through the Western Conference playoffs. The West Playoffs are going to great, look at the teams out there. You got the usual big 3, Dallas, San Antonio and Phoenix, but it's actually New Orleans with the best record out west. N.O. is this years Utah, the team to come out of nowhere to be awesome. Speaking of Utah there's another awesome team in the western playoffs. Those 5, along with with Denver and Golden State who are both around 10 games over .500 and whom no one wants to play, Kobe's Lakers who are 12 games over .500 and will be getting Andrew Bynum back. So there's 8 teams and I haven't even mentioned the surprising Trailblazers and the Rockets who have McGrady and Yao so they can't be dismissed.
I see a lot of 7 game series in the west and up to the finals I see a lot of 5 and maybe even 4 game series which should bold well for the Eastern Conference winner (the Celtics).

I hoping my friend Bob Watson really enjoys this superbowl. He's missed most of the last 2 Superbowls because his young daughter had to go to the Emergency Room each year! Acting on my advise Bob has place his daughter in a plastic bubble. His daughter has been in the bubble since the Pats beat SD, I'm sure she's looking forward to the game ending so she can be free again.

On every channel's news when they do the extended 5 day forecast, the weather man says "and it'll be 40 and clear here for Superbowl" . Who gives a fuck about the weather here. Nobody is watching the game outdoors. The game is 2700.64 miles away from my house so I don't think the weather here will matter during the game.

Channel 7 has no idea who to use anchor Francis Rivera. When she's behind the desk she's always bundled up with a turtle neck here make up looks like a mask. When she's on location she's a fox. I first noticed this during the sox playoffs and now again in Arizona. Hopefully they'll send her down to San Antonio to cover the NBA finals.

Look for another Sox/Yanks ALCS now that they've failed to land Santana, but did add Sean Casey and Morgan Endsburg respectively. Not sure what either team offered up in the end put I wasn't real impressed with what the Twins got, there best prospect they got is 11 years old, Gomez projects as Coco Crisp and the pitchers are shitbums. In the end I'm happy the Yanks didn't get him, but I wonder if the Twins took a bad deal or the sox stepped back and didn't offer either Lester or Elsbury. Either way the Twins are looking bad, how can hapless Balt get more in a trade for Bedard than Minn got for Santana. Remember great Twins GM Terry Ryan is gone, one wonders if he couldn't of gotten a better deal, one also wonders why he would use a gay phrase like "one wonders".
Now it's time to shop Crisp, he's too good to be the 4th OF, but it's clear now that Elsbury isn't in Minn that his time is now . I wouldn't mind him sticking around as a 4th OF but I think he might mind and is a good enough player to at least shop.

Senator Arlen Specter wants to question NFL Commissioner Roger Godell on why the spygate tapes were destroyed. Well thank god with the war on terror going on, the economy down, and everything else that's going on with the country, a politician is spending his time wonder why tapes of football games were destroyed.
Years ago I borrowed some wrestlemainia tapes from this kid Chris Kelly, I never returned them and just the other day I threw them out. What if Mr. Specter comes looking for these tapes? I'm screwed!

I guess the humble pie that seamus ate not only made him sick it, made him delirious. While I agree that the reason the Pats will win is because there better and not because Plax guaranteed a win. There better on D, have a way better offense, play better special teams, are more experienced and have the best coach. But do you think the other Giants are happy that Plax is running his mouth, everyone else seems to be going out of there way not to give the Pats bulletined board material. Not only does he talk shit but than he doesn't practice all week, I bet his teammates love that. I too find it unfortunate that are QB takes pictures with sheep and wears a scarf with no coat, but at lest he doesn't do gay Oreo cookie commercials or one here he's getting a wet willy from his brother. Eli threw 23 TD's this season, Brady threw 23 to Randy Moss. This game is close in the first half but it's blow out city in the 2nd half. 41-20
